The Elysium Collection
thesign was established in 1998 in Switzerland by Patrick Stieger with the aim of creating a designer collection of luxury high end products with exceptional design, colours and quality.

As both CEO and lead designer, Patrick Stieger is the engine and the fuel behind thesign. A native of Switzerland, Patrick combines the best of European traditions with American innovation. He fell in love with textiles at a young age, inspired by his father, company founder Engelbert Stieger. His father also instilled in Patrick’s a deep commitment to excellence, and pride in the Stieger Company name.
thesign collections reflect Patrick’s style and taste in every sense – classic, strong, elegant, edgy, with an eye to history, and elements of mystery, surprise and illusion. A former race car driver, Patrick brings edge, intensity, and a passion for life into all aspects of his work. As his passion project, thesign represents “his finest work to date, both as an artist and designer”.
This brand focus we take a look at the newest release from thesign – Elysium, a luxurious collection crafted completely in Trevira CS.
Founded in the 1980’s Trevira are pioneers in the field of flame retardancy. Unlike other fabrics that are given a flame retardant finish, Trevira CS are textiles made of 100% flame retardant fibres and yarns, offering permanent built-in safety, their properties cannot be washed out or lost with age or usage.
The Elysium collection has six new fabrics for drapery and upholstery (Chrysalis, Fresco, Impasto, Minos, Niobe, Vittata) in a total of 31 colourways.
thesign has also added new colours to Francis and The Suite to compliment the collection plus Medici is now available in Trevira CS with six liquid hues.
